About Us
Lauderhill is one of the most distinctively Caribbean communities in the United States — home to the highest concentration of Jamaican residents in the country, alongside significant populations from Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, Guyana, and across the West Indies. In a community built by people who worked hard, built new lives, and take deep pride in both — a designer handbag is rarely a casual purchase. It is something earned. It marks a milestone, honors a relationship, or carries the memory of someone who is no longer here. When it needs care, it deserves a specialist who treats it with the same respect.
Artbag serves Lauderhill from our Coral Springs workshop at 927 N. University Drive — approximately 15–20 minutes north via University Drive or the Florida Turnpike. Founded in New York City in 1932 — a city whose own Caribbean communities have trusted Artbag for decades — we bring over 90 years of luxury handbag restoration expertise to Lauderhill’s doorstep.

About Us
Lauderhill shares something important with the Caribbean communities that shaped it: a tropical monsoon climate — the same classification found across Jamaica, Haiti, and Trinidad. That means year-round heat and humidity peaking at 85–90% in summer, persistent conditions for mold growth inside stored bags, leather stiffening and cracking, and hardware corrosion from airborne salt. Florida’s intense UV exposure degrades canvas coatings and bleaches leather dyes far faster than in temperate climates. Hurricane season, June through November, brings flooding risk and rapid humidity swings that can damage leather within days. The bags that matter most to Lauderhill families deserve protection from all of it.

Why Choose Us
Artbag was founded in 1932 in New York City — a city whose Caribbean communities have long understood the value of investing in quality and preserving what matters. Donald Moore joined in 1959, and his son Chris Moore has led the practice since 2018, relocating to Coral Springs in 2022. Three generations of mastery, an unbroken 90+ year heritage, and the same commitment to craftsmanship that made Artbag the trusted name for luxury handbag restoration on Madison Avenue.
