About Us
Weston is one of the most deliberately designed communities in Florida. The land was developed by Arvida/JMB Realty — the same firm responsible for Walt Disney World — and the attention to detail shows in every aspect of Weston life: the curated neighborhoods of Indian Trace and Bonaventure, the manicured parks and waterways, the Weston Town Center with its bell tower and amphitheater, the all-A-rated public schools, and the lowest crime rate in Broward County. Ranked repeatedly by CNNMoney and Family Circle among the best places to live and raise a family in America, Weston has consistently attracted one of the most educated, affluent, and internationally diverse populations in South Florida — with a median household income above $135,000 and over half of its 68,000 residents born outside the United States, primarily from Colombia, Venezuela, and Argentina.
In a community built to this standard, a luxury handbag is rarely casual. Artbag serves Weston from our Coral Springs workshop at 927 N. University Drive — approximately 20 minutes northeast via I-75 or Weston Road. Since 1932, we have applied the same conviction to restoration that Arvida applied to Weston’s streets: precision, authentic materials, and no compromises.
Weston is the most western city in Broward County — its entire western and northern borders are the Florida Everglades. That proximity means Weston sits at the edge of one of the most moisture-saturated ecosystems in North America, with ambient humidity levels that exceed even the already-high Broward County baseline. Year-round humidity peaking at 85–90% in summer creates conditions for mold to establish inside stored bags within days, leather to stiffen and crack, and hardware to corrode. Florida’s UV intensity bleaches leather dyes faster than virtually any temperate climate. Hurricane season — June through November — adds flooding risk and rapid humidity spikes that push moisture into leather fibers. For Weston’s collectors, whose pieces often represent significant investment and deep personal meaning, protecting against this environment is not optional.

Artbag provides expert luxury handbag repair for stitching damage, handle replacement, edge coating repair, hardware restoration, zipper repair, and structural issues. Using authentic materials and precision craftsmanship, we restore designer handbags while preserving their beauty and long-term value.

Artbag provides custom handbag alterations for Weston clients seeking improved functionality without compromising luxury appearance. From strap adjustments and handle reinforcement to clasp replacement and structural modifications, every alteration is completed with expert craftsmanship and long-term durability in mind.

Artbag offers professional luxury handbag cleaning for leather, suede, canvas, and exotic materials affected by humidity, salt air, stains, mold, and everyday wear. Our specialized cleaning process restores freshness while protecting the bag’s original finish and material integrity.

Artbag provides expert leather refinishing, color restoration, and re-dyeing for luxury handbags affected by fading, discoloration, cracking, and surface wear. Our advanced color-matching process restores rich color and finish consistency while maintaining the bag’s original designer aesthetic.

Our Weston Restoration Philosophy
Weston is known for its carefully planned communities, exceptional standards, and commitment to quality living. Artbag shares that same philosophy. Every handbag entrusted to our workshop receives individualized attention designed to preserve appearance, functionality, and long-term value. Our goal is not simply to repair a bag, but to help extend its life for years of continued enjoyment.
Weston was built with the understanding that quality deserves investment. Artbag has operated on that same principle since 1932. Founded in New York City by Hillel Tenenbaum — a Fashion Institute of Technology professor who understood craftsmanship from the inside out — built by Donald Moore who joined in 1959, and led today by Chris Moore, a third-generation master craftsman who relocated to Coral Springs in 2022. Ninety-plus years of museum-quality restoration for collectors who expect nothing less.

Absolutely. Artbag was founded in New York City in 1932 — a city whose Colombian, Venezuelan, and Argentine communities have trusted us for decades. In Weston’s Latin American households, a designer bag carries the same weight it does in Bogotá or Caracas: it represents achievement, family investment, and personal pride. Every piece we restore receives the same museum-quality care, regardless of its origin.
