Sustainability is a hot topic. There are simple ways for all of us to do our part. The next time you clean your closet, don't throw out your old handbags! The same for leather jackets and coats. Sometimes we forget the saying, "one man's trash is another man's treasure." Just because you are no longer in love with your bag, doesn't mean someone else won't fall in love with it.
Help keep another handbag out of the landfill by doing one of the following:
put the bag back into rotation
give the bag to a family member or friend
donate to your church or local clothing drive
donate to a charitable foundation such as Housing Works, Goodwill, and Salvation Army
consign: sell your bag
FEEL GOOD ABOUT IT
Doing your part has many benefits, such as saving the environment (every bit helps), giving someone else joy, and helping to make a difference in someone's life (dressing for an interview). Simple yes, but every bit counts.
